The frigid waters ran past Cynide’s massive mitts as he swiftly navigated across the moist boulders at the very edge of the river’s waters. The dexterity the male managed to move with was surprising for his size. It wasn’t something that had come naturally. Much of Cynide’s physical pros had developed during a period of isolation in which the male had trained himself with great discipline. Now everything he had worked toward was second nature and he had made the decision to return into the hierarchy of a pack. These lands would do, they more then suited his needs. A small trace of a smile flickered vaguely at the tip of the male’s thick jowls, his pallid canines catching the moonlight as he slid forward trotting with the current of the silvery water. It had been a day now since he had entered these marked lands, and he was waiting to be found leaving blunt traces of his presence. There was, after all, nothing to hide. Water weighed down the patches of fur between his paws and the frigid midnight temperatures managed to slither through the brute’s luxurious coat, sending delightful shudders down his spine. Cynide was content, content as he had never been before. He watched his breath form clouds as he moved, his eyes trailing reflection of the moon in the waters. His smile grew revealing a set of deadly daggers.

Eyelids flickered once then twice, sapphire orbs opening to find a world tossed into darkness. Something or someone was blocking her view. A small growl rumbled within her chest as she removed her tassle from its not-so-unusual spot a'top her nose. Muzzle was licked and the fae stretched, talons gripping the earth beneath her as she pulled herself upon all fours.
The world around her was different than when she had fallen asleep and a sort of awe crept onto her features. Opticals danced around her taking in the surrounding land, the sound of running water soon catching her attention.
The very thought of it caused her mouth to water, her stomach clinching. It had been days...
Without a second thought the fae trotted forwards from her current hiding spot, white pelt soaking up the warm sun greedily. She had traveled throughout the night, the scent of wolves becoming stronger with each passing mile. Only after she had reached the scent border did she stop to rest, exhaustion finely doing it's part in helping her fall asleep. Perhaps that explained the shock she found herself in as she gazed at the sight before her.
Immerging from the clove of trees, the shewolf was pleased to find the source of water. For a brief moment her guard slipped and she freely strolled forwards, mitts not hesitating. It was after she reached the water's edge that she paused, taking a second to look around her wearily. Leathery nares were lifted to the wind and she breathed deeply, testing the array of scents.
Wolves.
Tassle slowly wavered behind her for a second before ceasing, the fae blinking lazily. There would be enough time to think later, and without further hesitation the fem bent forwards, white muggane being dipped beneath the frigid waters.
|OoC| Didn't know whether or not he wanted to be noticed xD But had to get Laki in somehow, lol.

Cynide had paused not far from the female a few hours back to gain some rest. The soft steps of the vixen had stirred the male and now he remained half hidden behind a massive boulder. His ash-kissed visionaries caressed each inch of the wolf gathering data from not only her physical features but also her movement and manner. Eventually the brute inhaled sharply before briskly springing upon his massive paws. A curt purr-like grunt vibrated from his jowls to alert the other of his approach. Lithe limbs swept the moist gravel with ease and with a few leaps and bounds the male was before her. He paused for a moment; having not had any social contact what-so-ever for the past three years this was quite a leap forward. Cynide dipped his head in greeting before falling onto his hindquarters. A comfortable silence fell. In his eyes a very rare flame of amusement had ignited. It felt delicious to be apart of the social dance once again.

The fae was somewhat startled by the presence of another, sapphire orbs quickly flickering to the spot where he had came from.
"Um..hello" She offered softly, tongue licking her muggane as she turned to face the male.
She was unsure where he came from, but by his scent he was a loner. She allowed herself torelax, the realization that she wasn't in trouble for being on someone else's land slowly slinking in.

A quaint smirk dawned on the male’s mug at the female’s voice having been so deprived of another voice for so long.
"It is a pleasure to meet you."
His own voice suprised him. It had changed and matured in its lack of use. Now it broke from deep with in his chest erupting in various smooth low tones, easy on the ear, rich.
Her vaguely wary nature informed the male that she held no rank in these lands. Though he felt obliged to seek acceptance into these lands instead of wandering, as an interloper the chance of company was too tempting to pass off. Other things could wait. In any case he would most likely end up in the same pack as this female. He relaxed as the lazy afternoon sun beat down on his silvery coat, nails clicking rhythmically against the rocky ground.

Sapphire orbs sized the male up, a small smile lifting her blackened lips.
"Likewise."
Growing silent for a moment, the fae looked off into the distance, nostrils flaring as she picked up the scents of others.
"Looks like a once lively place, don't you agree?"
Eyes were turned back upon him and she realized the rudeness in her behavior.
"Sorry, how rude. Name's Lakota, you are?"

"Cynide." Replied the male. His visage was tinted very slightly with a pleasant expression. The silence that had consumed the area the night before had most certainly been broken; a flurry of action had begun to take place in these lands. He could feel the presence of various others; their scents had begun to mingle in the air. It was exhilarating, and yet a solid, stony calm had consumed the male. Though truth be told he was waiting for a chance to spring and exercise his talons on some flesh. It had been so long, too long since that primordial lust had been satisfied.
Returning back to the present his attention returned to his new acquaintance. “Care to join me in search for the owner of this humble abode?”

"Cyanide"
The fae repeated the name, seemingly committing it to memory. Silently she too thought over the possibility of food. Grouse and small hares had become her meal for the past few months and the very thought of running with a pack again made the fae's heart speeden with excitement. It was only at the words of Cyanide, did Laki come back to the present, curiousity sparking within her blue eyes.
"Indeed."
With that said the fae pulled herself upon all fours, shaking her pelt before turning to the male, awaiting him to lead the way.

Briefly Cynide recalled the scent that had greeted him at the border of the lands. It was most definitely a female. He paused realizing that there were two ways to go about this. First, he could go by foot and follow the alpha’s scent. This would allow for a more formal introduction, however this waste away so much more precious time. The second option was one that had eluded in Cynide initially since he had not played his vocals before this encounter. They could sing. And even if the leader of these lands were preoccupied, at least they could get a quick general direction based on her response. In a fluid motion the sir raised himself from the ground.
“Let us call for the leader. We will find her with more haste.”
With that the male threw his skull violently backward freeing his chords to compose the ancient song understood by all wolves. It rose to the heavens in various crescendos, dancing heavenward with a hollow thickness that carried for miles. The ghostly tune was clear as crystal and it hovered in an ethereal manner.

The fae silently agreed and as the male threw back his crania, she followed pursuit, her own voice lifting then mellowing out to match his own.
It didn't take long for the two to get an answer and as the call of the alphess rang clearly around them, the fae smiled, eyes going to Cyanide.
"Guess it's now or ever, eh?"
