The sounds of caribou and elk protests echoed across the once full valley, Death's Kiss remaining home to thirty or so stragglers. The time had came for the source of meat to pass back through the pass, and one particular wolf found the seasonal progress somewhat troubling.
A small breeze twirled it's way around the black female, fur freely dancing with the distraction. Burnt gaze was focused solely before her, tassel wrapped neatly around hindquarters. The elk were leaving. The caribou were leaving. Soon, even the rabbits and field mice would be scurrying away to their dens. It could mean only one thing, and the very thought troubled Akani to no extent. The pack had just formed, how was she to expect them to hunt together? Pillage together? And for one fleeting moment she wondered how they would survive together.
A small growl grew in her throat but wasn't permitted to pass, the fae's tranquil state remaining. They would survive. She wouldn't give up on something she cared so deeply for. Wouldn't see efforts wasted. They would get by or else.
The ache in the pit of her stomach was nothing more than a reminder of how long it had truly been. The taste of a fresh kill bigger than a small mouse made her mouth water. She'd never be able to take one on her own, but maybe...

Talons gently wrapped around the fae's shoulder as the bird softly landed, wings being tucked neatly in. His yellow eyes were blank and as he shifted to find a comfortable position he was silent.
Akani was troubled. That much he knew, and he couldn't say that he exactly blaimed her. Afterall there had been a boom in newcomers and then they eventually straggled off. He had only seen a few in the past few hours and he wondered where the rest were.
"It'll be fine Akani. You'll see."
His voice was deep and calm, his tone soothing. It would be fine...afterall with her stubborness, they had to be.

(( I'll help then ;D ))
A silent loner male crept slowly across the unknown terra, his pelt with mixtures of gray twitched with his muscles deepened inside of him, his dark observant brown orbs slowly moving to keep all scenery in grasp as he made not one pant to give his presence away for those who may not want him here, yet he showed no worry - the wolf obviously full of courage and willing to never give something up. His auds twitched in the keen observance of the loose prey, barely seeing any... with the scent of a wolf - fem, coming closer. Well - he was coming closer to her.
