Steps were in perfect rhythm as the black she-wolf made her way forwards, emotionless gaze not moving from the trees that loomed a few feet before her, marking the entrance to the forest. She had yet to hear the story of this land, nor what had caused the sudden abandonment months, or even years before, but something had captivated her heart upon her first visit, and she was sure leaving wasn't something scheduled in her near future.
Mitts were silent as she entered the forest's borders, petite frame sliding easily between the low hanging branches. Why she had chosen to come here, one was only to guess, but what little sanctuary the forest held comforted her at the moment. Here she could take a break from the vigorous hardships of life in general, not to mention the mass of bodies being thrown at her with each passing moment. The growing of a pack was something to celebrate, true, but with too many new wolves came trouble, and without ranks she wondered if fights would break out among them all.
A small sigh escaped her lips, tassel flowing limply behind her as she stalked forward, weaving in and out of the trees. Shaking her head, she cleared the thoughts from her mind, there would be time enough to worry later. For now she could be at peace, or so she thought.

The forest closed around him as the brute followed the other, his steps silent. He welcomed the dark like a child does a piece of candy. His coat hid him well and he was in tune with the shadows of the darkness. Despite the fact he was still trespassing, Sin was at home here in these dark woods.
Akani was just ahead of him. His orange orbs were focused on the she-wolf. Sin was rather intrigued by this wolf. He couldn't figure out why though. He was not one to pick up wolves for fun. But yet, here he was, following Akani in the middle of a forest.
He held back a laugh. Sin couldn't help it. How could he even think of following Akani, let alone joining a pack, when he had something else to do? He wasn't sure.

She had felt his presence, yet she hadn't paid it any heed. 'Twas almost like a sickness that you could feel, creeping into your bones, making your joints ache for no apparent reason. It was only at that particular moment that she cared to pay him any mind, feeling his presence closer than before. So instead of facing him in a round about way, like she would no doubt do any one else, the fae pulled a full one-eighty, coming to face the brute still cloaked in shadows.
It was almost like looking into a mirror, then not so much. Black matched black, orange eyes meeting two almost exactly the same shade. Both were well built, but the male's bulk no doubt out weighed her own. Her legs were long and slender, his the same length but with more muscle. Her gaze was placid, no emotion really rippling the calm look, his seemed challenging, almost like some inner darkness attempting to wry it's way to the top.
She hadn't really been able to tell much from her place at the pack meeting, but up close the brute wasn't exactly what she had expected. Eyes never left his, yet senses scrutinized him all the while, sizing him up within her mind.
Under any other circumstances maybe the fae would have felt threatened, maybe even bothered by the pride and sadisticness that lingered within the male's eyes. Instead she was slightly intrigued. How could a wolf be threatening and interesting all at the same time?
Remaining silent, the fae continued standing there, not bothering to speak the first word. Tassel wasn't upraised in a 'I'm higher in rank, I demand authority" pose, nor did her crown place itself in a regal state. Instead she stood there calmly, staring back at the twisted, almost mirror image of herself, looking at the brute like one loner to another. Would one of them eventually speak? One was to only guess, but at the current moment silence seemed to say it all.

A young male padded around the area, dodging the winding trees and fallen leaves. He looked as if he was contemplating something, but wasn't saying anything. Kind of like a battle in the small red wolf's mind. His eyes were a red, but just a touch more brown that his pelt. Each of his four paws were white, along with his lower-jaw and a bit of his chest and underbelly. The red on his head was mixed with some black, making the rest of him look especially red. Stopping at a nearby stream, he lapped water slowly. 'Kayne..' His reflection seemed to say. But why would it say his own name?

An elderly brute stepped forth, surrounded by the underbrush end thick tree trunks. He assumed most of them were older than he, and felt humbled in their presence. He had fallen into a sort of whirlwind of shadows and life. His maw lefted and rang out a cry, meshing with the rustle of leaves and the whistle of wind. His form rocked back and forth, in rhythem with the shifting of shadows. His heart lifted and for a moment he seemed as one with the beauty. The reality snapped back to him. The wind died sharply, as did his howl. He sat unmoving, shuddering slightly for some unknown reason. Then his heart hardenned once more. Krieger stood and continued with his quest. Slithering siliently among the foliage, he scented other wolven, along with the Alphena he was looking for. His pace quickened, a smooth transition into a lope. As he prepared to clear a log in his path a small grunt of exertion left him. His forelegs absorbed the shock, and he continued onwards. Halting suddenly just outside the area that the wolves were in, Krieger lowered his body towards the ground and observed them quietly. After a minute passed he rose and stepped out, seated himself comfortably upon his haunches, and waited to be addressed.

|| Here I am! || He was beginning to grow bored of following Akani. They had gone a little deeper into the forest now and Sin was considering melting away.
Then she turned around.
He stopped short and his muzzle bumped into hers. His eyes instantly locked onto her own gaze, glaring defiance in every flame that flitted there. Sin dared her to say something about his stance, his gaze.
His presence.
Sin was a little surprised that she didn't have her tail raised or head raised, that her legs weren't set for 'attack' and she wasn't holding her rank over him. He liked that.

No outer reaction was displayed as he bumped into her, her gaze never leaving his as thoughts raced through her mind.
The presence of other wolven was beginning to fill the air and an aud twitched in annoyance, twisting sideways to listen to what was going on. She didn't move, however, somehow knowing that once she did he'd slink back to the shadows and be gone. She was unsure what to say and as a mix of emotions flitted through his optics she found herself shruggling to keep up. Was it suprise mixed with positive judgement, or malovence mixed with smug superority? She didn't exactly know, but her stance didn't change. His stance, however, wasn't completely lost on her and she silently wondered why he was so eager in almost challenging her, tempting her to do something he'd make her regret.
Lips parted only to close again and the fae blinked lazily, words not her strong point at the moment. It was only after another minute passed did she work up the courage to speak, one word being snaking it's way forth in the form of silk. "Akani."
Of course, he knew her name, or at least he more than likely had heard it, but this way there was no waste of verbs. No excess information. She'd stick to the basics, for the brute didn't exactly fit the description of the 'chatty' type.

Her voice was sweet and it tempted him so strangley. Sin shook himself mentally. He couldn't fall for another. Ever. That wasn't like him.
"Eternal Sinner." His name slipped from black lips before he could stop himself. The presence of other wolves pricked at the back of his mind and he nearly growled at the thought of them learning his name. How he hated wolves that thought they could simply sit and watch.

She was surprised to find that he actually answered. Eternal Sinner...A peculiar name, yet one that seemed to fit him well.
"Staying?"
Yet another one worded phrase that had a ton of meanings. She was unsure exactly why he was here. He had been at the pack meeting, or at least in a sense. But was he another loner just passing through and had happened to get sidetracked? Or was he here to stay, a wolf to become one of the pack.
Oddly enough she almost found herself hesitant about hearing his answer. Was it selfish, or even more so absolutely crazy, for her to want a wolf she had never met to stay?

He shrugged at her words. "Depends. What do you think?" Ooo. More thank word word now. How exciting.

Aud twitched in annoyance once more, one side of the fae tugging her towards greeting the others, while the other side stubbornly disagreed, content with staying where she was.
Orange eyes were placid as she contemplated over what he had just said. She was tempted to say something sarcastic, and who knew where that would lead her.
"Depends..What exactly do you want?"
As bad as it sounded, the words weren't meant as a pickup line. More as a question as to whether or not the brute meant trouble. Of course, she could already tell he obviously wasn't one to be pushed around, but if he was here to only bring chaos to the already unstable and newly formed pack, he wouldn't gain a hearty welcome all too quickly.

Sin laughed. "Do you wish for the truth or for something that would allow you to trust me?" he said, his eyes never leaving hers. "Because you may not like the truth my dear. You may believe it will bring trouble to your pack but it won't. Only to me."
He smiled softly, almost devilishly. "Which is it deary?"

The fae was silent, gaze searching his. Slowly she shrugged, features not giving anything away. "I'm not a fool, even if others take my actions as so. You have a purpose, that's clear. I'm fair and thus you are welcome to stray upon the lands for as long as you please."
The fae went silent once more, orange eyes leaving his for the first time since they had came face to face. Ears swiveled for a moment before she turned back, tassel swishing slowly behind her.
"However, I'll be keeping a close eye on you." Saying this, a michievious, almost teasing smile lifted her lips, burnt gaze slightly twinkling.

"And how do you expect to do that dear?" he asked, taking a step away from her. Shadows enclosed around him and only his eyes glowed from the darkness. "Shadows love me Akani. Just as I love them. They hide me from friend and enemies alike," Sin's voice dropped to a mere whisper, "I must thank you for allowing me to stay. I would have no matter what you said but your permisson allows me a little more freedom." To kill. he finished in his thoughts. Sin was sure his mate's killer would show here soon. He was very sure. And Sin wouldn't allow that son of a bitch to get away.
