The forest was silent, give or take the rustling of leaves as the wind snaked its way through the small trees. One figure, a small white wolfess, to be more exact, didn't seemed bothered though. Mitts were set in a playful manner as she weaved her way through the woods.
She had left the pack meeting not long after Akani had dismissed the wolves. The alphess had seemed nice enough, and Lakota was once again a part of a pack. The very thought brought a smile to her face and another skip to her step.
"A pack.."
She said softly, more to herself than anyone. Thoughts turned to Cynide and she silently wondered where he had gotten off to. She hadn't seen him since the wolves broke apart, each going their own way after the pack meeting was dismissed. Another upside to having a pack, friends..or rather acquaintances.
A sigh slipped from her lips before she paused, eyes locking on something in the trail ahead. Tassle was in line with her spine, a dainty paw being held in midair as lobes slunk forward. A rabbit Emerald optics had went from being playful to being alert, and another side of Laki emerged.
What happened next, had one been watching, was hard to tell, everything happening so fast. The end result however was success to one, failure to another.
The wagging of her tail refused to cease as the female picked up her kill, mitts light as she searched for a soft spot to eat in peace. [/size]

Settling down beneath a shady tree, the fae licked her lips. The lifeless rabbit was balanced between two paws as emerald optics looked around her. It seemed so..quiet. Nares flared, only the scent of blood present in the surrounding wood. Shrugging lightly Laki turned her attention back to her meal at hand, tongue washing her muzzle once again.

It was hard to tell, what the brute's next move would be. Uncertainty filled his mind though his heart told him that what he was doing was, indeed, the correct path to follow. What is a wolf to do? What do I owe myself? Thoughts raced through his mind as he padded forth, unsure of where his paws were taking him.
His thoughts continued to betray him, as though spurring negativity to his heart. Avix's negativity was rare, but at times it overwhelmed him, considering how in general he always felt at ease to content emotions.
His optics wandered from the ground to look straight ahead the second his nose picked up the scent of blood. His amber gaze watched Laki for a short moment that felt like an eternity.
"Sorry for intruding, miss." He said to her politely, his crania bowing slightly, auds erect. He took a step back, somewhat slowly, and with a great relucance began to change his course of direction.

Auds were thrust forwards, optics raising and landing on the brute standing a few feet in front of her. Nares flared as she tested his scent, the smell of the pack settling the fae's sudden weariness. It was only at his words that she really came to though, a smile lifting her lips.
"Allo, and no, it's no bother."
Cranium was cocked to the side, shoulders being rolled. "It's too quiet in these parts anyways."
Voice trailed off as eyes darted to the small meal before her, eventually finding their way back to the brute.
"You were at the pack meeting right?" She asked, recognizition slowly sinking in.
|OoC| bleeehh, crap. But it's late and I'm sleepy < 333

Avix sat back on his haunches and took a breathe of air, trapping the oxygen in his lung for a few seconds before letting it out again. "That I was." he said replying in a calm tone, nodding slightly. He studied the fae for a few seconds before taking again, "I go by Avix," he said picking up the conversation again, "Might I ask for you name?" His optics were fixed in the faes for a few seconds, examining the slight sparkle, before he looked down at the ground again.

"Laki" She answered easily, pausing for a moment before continueing. "Thought so, you look somewhat familar."
Seeing him look away the fae, too, found another spot for her eyes to rest, not wanting to be rude nor be caught staring. The smell of her food, however, eventually brought her gaze back around and she offered a small smile in Avix's direction.
"Nice place, don'tcha think?" A lame question, perhaps, but company was welcome anytime Laki's book. Months of being on one's own seemed to have that affect.

Ooc:// haha, I think you meant Laki, right? =P
Bic:// Avix gazed back into her eyes, the sides of his mouth turning up slightly to reveal a smile, "Pleased to meet you, ma'am." He said bowing his head in respect to the fae.
He nodded at her question, his thoughts leading him to absolute agreement, "Aye, it's really beautiful around here." He said, his eyes wandering to examine his surroundings, his inner soul finding a certain tranquility in the surrounding and the calming feeling of the fae's presence.

"Indeed" The fae said, smiling in agreement to the brute's words.
Front legs pushed her up into a sitting position and gaze went to the small hare before her. "Not much left, but if you'd like you can have the rest." She had only taken a few bites before she was interupted, yet she was satisfied. Game was somewhat plentiful, give or take the fact that winter was on it's way.

ooc:// haha don't worry about it xP
The corners of Avix's lips curved up showing a slightly smile towards the fae's generosity. "Thank you miss, but I'd much rather see you enjoying the rest of you meal. It was your catch, afterall." He bowed his head slightly to her.
It seemed as though he had forgotten what this was like; having an actual conversation with someone who wasn't rude, or eager to get rid of him. The feeling of acceptance was a relief and now that he was re-united if the sentiment, he felt that he never wanted to let it go again.
For the first time in the longest time imaginable he felt...at home.

The fae shrugged easily, tongue washing over her muzzle. "My catch or not, I'm stuffed." Lopsided grin befell her lips and she shrugged yet again, standing up and shaking her pelt.
The forest around them was somewhat quiet and she stole a glance around, green eyes slowly taking it all in.
"Any ideas as to what we could do?" She asked, optics going back to the brute before her.

Avix let his thoughts run wild for a few short seconds. The silence between the two wolves seemed as though it lasted hours as his mind blanked. "I don't really know what there is around here. I haven't been here very long," he said pausing, "I can't imagine it to be completely empty though. There must be something to do, right?" He said, his gaze meeting the fae's once again.

Brow furrowed in thought and she nodded, the silence stretching between the two. However, it only took a few seconds after the brute had spoken for her eyes to light up with an idea.
"The lake."
It was a simple statement, but one that seemed to suffice as the fae cast a questioning look to Avix.

Avix nodded in reply, "The lake sounds good." He said, the idea of swimming appealing to him greatly. Truthfully, it didn't matter to him where they went or what they did. In his eyes, the fae had passed the line of intriguing; but that was his secret.
He stood up, his tassel swaying slightly to and fro. "Shall we, then?" he said, smirking faintly.
