"Ah, right then..." his voice trailed off. Of course it was conventional that they must meet an Alpha, but Krieger, as mentioned earlier, was not a social wolf. Sighing slightly the brute stood. Curiosity caused him to follow Larka's gaze towards the lake. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary he assumed she was either looking at something else or marveling at the beauty of it. Krieger, though he wasn;'t aware of it, seemed to be inwardly refusing to see beauty. After swiftly shifting his optics at some other less compeling point he spoke again, "I'll have to get him to do it for me..." Dropping his head an inch or so.

Larka's auds swiveled back to Krieger as he said that. "I'm sure it's not that hard, but then again, who am I to say that?" Some more thinking occurred and then Larka spoke again," Besides, you didn't run away at the sight of me, did you?"

"True true. I didn't, but then, I was dozing." Krieger chukled quietly. "I suppose I could, but you must understand how it is?" As soon as the words left his maw Krieger wondered if it was a stupid question. How might she understand? And what if she thought he was critisizing her. But then, when did he start caring? Shaking his head the brute rid his mind of these thoughts.

"I do know how it is. But sometimes you have to face your fears. I guess I did it right now," that was long, for her. She noticed what he had said but thought of it as 'constructive' criticism. She knew she had a problem, and she had been trying to fix it. Nevermind that it never worked. Eyes wandered again, not stopping on any particular spot. She was going to explore on this island some, but then Krieger had come, not that she regretted meeting him.

A yawn escaped him. Krieger decided he should meet this Alphess, and the sooner he got it over with the better. He nodded to Larka, glad she didn't seem to take it the wrong way. "You're right, and now I should be off." He strode towards the band and waded in, allowing the current and waves to take him back towards the mainland without too much effort on his part. After hitting the beach he howled once more, as a 'goodbye' to Larka, then set off.

Larka nodded as a good-bye, and then, as Krieger turned to meet Akani, she turned away also. But she turned towards the island. With a gentle stride she began to walk towards the place where the foliage began.
And She couldn't tell, but that little meeting with Krieger had changed her.
