“Shut up!” “Uh... NO!” “I said SHUT UP!” “NO!”
They would go on for hours like that, just yelling back and forth. It was like their nature. Raine won almost every time. She was a tough girl, and she was sly. Getting in a fight with her isn’t always the smartest thing, unless you’re her brother, which happens to know her few weaknesses. And yes, he would use them against her every chance he got. He was so protective of his ‘little’ sister, though. They were both sixteen now, both the same age, but Elliot always acted like he was older. He did happen to be two minutes older, but that didn’t matter all that much.
Their fights were always over something stupid, like gum, who got to listen to what CD, who was leaving when, where the other could go. Always something that was just plain stupid or something the other one really couldn’t control. Both of them were very determined, and they looked it. Raine was the one of a short temper, the shortest. She would get mad so easily, especially if she didn’t like you. If you’re on her good side, it was a lot harder. And, if you did happen to make her frustrated, she would restrain herself. Elliot, on the other hand, was more of the calm, reasoning one. But, he could put up a good fight, and eventually would just give in and get extremely pissed.
Raine didn’t look much like this big tough girl all the time, if she was thinking, or focusing hard on something, this complete look of innocence would over come her. Her pale skin was darkening up a bit lately, starting to become a very faint tan. The white blonde waves falling around her face, reached down to just past her shoulders. The black undertones and bangs clashed nicely against the extremely light, natural blonde color of her hair.
Elliot had the complete look of a guy you wouldn’t want to mess with, even though she wasn’t really like that at all. He would be the one to help people; he was kind, and reasoning. But, he did have a breaking point. He was pretty shy, too, unlike his completely bold sister. His hair was an exact opposite of his sister as well. The natural black hair dropped to just below his chin, and the tips were a white blonde color.
The girl’s eyes were an appealing feature she held. They weren’t any color at all, well they were colors really, many. Every minute or two, they would change. The color would become a completely different one, a different shade of the color before, or a color for whatever emotion she held. The black eye liner and bright green eye shadow caused the forever changing colors to stand out, too. Elliot’s eyes were a soft, pale green color. They did change a little, just different shades though. He didn’t control it, they would just change randomly every now and then, but normally they were the pale green color.
And to add on to the odd-ness of the two, they were what many people would call a freak. Mutant. Anything they could think of. Although, a few forgiving people had come up with the name, ‘gifted’. And after both of them found out their powers at the age of 11, they started forming a self-loath. They didn’t know how it spread so quickly, but almost everyone had found out about it.
Raine had always had a ‘special’ connection with animals ever since she was very little. And needless to say, her powers basically revolved around animals, and the weather. The power she first learned one day at school was that she could turn into any animal at command. And it only took several seconds for the change to happen. She could also communicate with any animal, in only a language that species could understand. Her other power was, to put it in basic terms, over weather. She could control it, being able to change anything about the current temperature of the day, to devastating hurricanes.
Elliot’s powers hadn’t shown any hints of what they’d be as he was young. Around the same time as Raine, his powers came up. His powers were basically over earth. He could make any plant grow with just the touch of his finger, or grow a tree within seconds that would naturally take hundreds of years to grow. He was also slowly growing to be telekinetic. Things are starting to move when he wants them to. For example, when he’s being just plain lazy and wants the remote, it was suddenly just come to him. He’s growing quite fond of this new gift, too.
As the two strode up to the school silently, they thought about what this new school would be like. They both hoped it wasn’t like before, even though they slightly knew it wouldn’t be. Raine had a black duffle bag slung around her shoulder, her invader zim messenger bag, and another slightly smaller black bag in her other hand. Her mom had three other bags she was holding onto. Raine had a lot of clothes, and she was going to be living here now. Elliot had two bags on each shoulder, and his father had one. His father was also carrying his guitar. Raine’s drum set, yes she was bringing her drum set, you can’t expect her to leave it, was sitting in the car still. Everyone’s hands were full.
They both got greeted by the secretary at the front desk, and given their room numbers, keys, schedules, and small maps of the school, dorm building, and campus. They shrugged a little, grabbing all the stuff given and barely keeping hold of it along with everything else. They headed back outside, now heading off to what was supposedly the dorm building. After getting in there, finding there room, dropping off everything, and getting Raine’s drum set up to her room, their parents said their goodbyes. Raine rolled her eyes as they left and glanced at Elliot smiling. “This will be fun.” She said, and Elliot knew almost instantly she was going to begin her reek of chaos.

I don't really think it's that good, but it's okay I guess/hope.
