The terrain was buzzing with activity, the far off barks of newcomers echoeing around her. They had came...she had believed they would..and now they were here.
A smile uplifted the fem's blackened lips and without further hesitation she lifted her muzzle heavenwards, vocals splitting and a beckoning howl lifting into the air.
The howl echoed for miles, calling all wolven alike, permitting the newcomers to tread on her territory. The first pack meeting had been called, and she planned on getting to know everyone.

Auds lifted for a moment, the call of another wolven was heard. Kar recognized it as the alpha's, an invitational howl. Unfortunately for him, he felt obligated to at least show up, make an attempt at keeping his promise. Body turned once again, and Kar began to go into more of a run.
He hadn't noticed before, but there were many other wolves here. And he just had caught the scents of all of them. He slowed down to a stop, trying to rethink all of this. They could gang up on him, yes they could. But he had only been turned away before. Except by loner wolves, but that was different.
Making up his mind, Kar started to run again. Stopping only when he had reached a place near the alpha female.

As the scent of wolven began to draw near, only one struck the fae as dangerously close by, and a look to her left confirmed just that.
The creature was one that she had yet to see in her years of life, something about his scent, however, she recognized. He was of mixed blood and the dog in him clearly showed through. She had only seen dogs on a few number of times, and on more than one occasion, the turnout had been bad. She was unsure what others would think, but at the moment she didn't exactly care. He had heeded her call and there was only one way to find out whether or not he had come to stay.
Her voice was soft as she spoke, firey optics meeting the male along with a friendly smile.
"Hello and welcome to Kryptic Shadows. You are?"

Kar looked at this female, noticing that she hadn't turned him away yet. He was silent for but a moment, and then his voice came," My name is Kar." His voice was hopeful, almost. It was also loud, but he hadn't purposely made it in such a way.
He looked around, noticing that none of the other wolves were here. It didn't bother him, he just noticed. Kar was actually happy he had been first here, but mainly because no one else could make her think badly of him, yet.

Cynide responded to the call and with fierce vigor sprinting at an enormous rate towards its source. His large mitts clapped across the boulders onto firmer land and eventually grass. He checked every so often to see if Lakota was keeping pace. The brute skidded to a halt a hundred yards from the two wolves who had gathered sending a little whirlwind of dust into the air, his steely eyes taking it all in as always. The hairs on his back bristled, though his breaths were calm a steady. None would have known that he had just traveled a lengthy distance had them come across him. A few paces to and fro before the composed figure extended himself to his full, glorious height and trotted onward. Upon drawing nearer formalities were taken care of as his skull inclined to both strangers. The brute remained verbally silent for fear he was interrupting, now that the leader had been found there was no need to rush into things.
As the wolves introdued themselves the emotion drained from Cynide's facade. He mused over the posibility of an entrance spar, though he did not linger upon the thought.

Padding slowly, amber eyes bode the air a strange remisecense, giving this place a familiarity he knew was undue. Stepping lightly, his deep rustic fur lay down, his hackles shed, he continued at a meager pace. His mantle raised at the sound of another; a desperate plea for emittence; he quickened his pace, bouncing lightly over the terra.
Undergrowth reaching out towards him, with a final bound he cleared the wood and stood at the top of an exalted knoll, allowing him view of the valley below, and the mass of streamrunners already gathered there.
His voice, a soft baritone whispered on the wind's fragiile girth, carrying his greeting into the valley as he descended the rockface that had seperated himself from the others only moments ago. Treading quickly, he was soon in view of the alphess, he pelt freshly groomed while his was laden with quirky objects that had ensnared themselves there on his travels.
And while he knew that he did hold a position of power within the pack, he settled to stay within the mass, sitting near the back as his orbs locked with her own, a slight nod acknowleding his presence.

The forest had left him and he was stuck in this cursed valley now. Sin growled as the scents of wolven approached his curled maw and his ears lay flat with his skull as the howl of the wolf reached him.
"Damn it," he muttered. Sin traced the route he had taken into the pack lands in his head and a growl escaped his muzzle again. It would take three times as long to go back and circle around than to go forwards and meet the mountains. He'd have to let his presence be known to other wolves. He trotted over a slight rise where he stood still, his pelt an outline against the sky. Wolves were gathering below him and he watched with mild interest.

Anyu stood up, immediately alert, ears pricked, as the cry echoed through the trees. She knew at once it was the Alpha of her new pack. At first she hesitated, unsure if she should go, but then as she thought of her old life as a loner she made up her mind and trotted in the direction of the call, amber orbs gleaming. She started to pick up speed, then finall started running, her creamy white fur pressed to her sides, making her look thinner than usual. When she reached the gathering she was greeted by many sets of eyes looking in her direction. Anyu's eagerness was gone in an instant, and doubt flooded her mind. Would she be accepted by all the other wolves? Or would they force her to become a loner once again, or worse, kill her? Then, as her eyes met the alpha's welcoming gaze, she decided it was worth the risk.

"Nice to meet you Kar."
The words had barely exited her mouth before the presence of others caught her attention. Burnt gaze flickered to each wolf, individually sizing each up. Mostly males. Different, yet refreshing. She had seen one too many packs with fifteen females for every two males. At least she wouldn't have to worry about too many emotional breakdowns.
Her self humor didn't last long, the fem turning to more important matters. Eyes washed over the crowd and she smiled, softly welcoming them all. She didn't miss Atticus's nod and she offered a return dip of her muzzle as well.
The presence of another wolf, more of a lurker than anything, caught her attention, but she paid it no heed. He would join them if he wished, and with that she focused solely on those before her.
"I welcome you all to Kryptic Shadows. If you would, please introduce yourselves and say something about yourself. Don't be shy and don't be modest. This is a pack, and in a pack we need certain jobs taken care of. If you have a strength then please let me know."
She paused for a brief moment, allowing her words to settle in. Perhaps a bit lame, yes, but the number of new wolves were startling and she could think of nothing else to do in order for them to become aquainted. And so she began the introductions, with her own.
"I'm Akani, alphess here in Kryptic Shadows."
A small nodd was given as she directed the next wolf to speak up, offering whatever words he could.

The fae easily ran alongside Cyanide, falling behind from time to time. However, the lag was only to last a few seconds before she'd once more pull up beside him, matching her steps with his.
It wasn't long before the other wolves came into view and she offered a pleasant smile in the direction of the alpha. Coming to a hault beside Cyanide she lowered to haunches, ears being pushed forwards as she listened to what was being said.

The brute was a straggler, what else could he say? And by the looks of things, you could call him no less. He had heard the howl awhile ago, and yet he had still taken his time getting here, or rather he had gotten distracted a number of times while rushing to get here. Either way you looked at it, he was obviously not the most punctual brute.
Dully noting that the other wolves had gathered around a specific fem, he followed pursuit and took a seat next to the back, amber optics being focused forwards.

Anyu watched, not moving a muscle as the alphess spoke. She looked around, expecting someone else to speak, but no one did. Anyu noticed she was the only female other than the alphess. That was a bit interesting. With a jolt Anya realized that she was the one who had to speak first. Everyone was looking at her expectantly. Anya took a deep breath, then began tentatively, "u-um..." No, no one could hear her that way. She took another deep breath and began again. "My name is Anya. I- I hope you will all accept me into the pack. I have lived as a loner most of the life, after most of my former pack was killed during a battle with another pack when I was two weeks old. My family was killed..." Anya's voiced started to crack as the old memory came back after she had been avoiding the thought, but Anya decided the pack wouldn't appreciate her if she appeared weak. So when she spoke after that, her voice was loud and strong. Even she was suprised. "Ever since my pack's defeat, I have lived as a loner. But now I have decided I need a pack, so I hope you all will accept me as a true member of Kryptic Shadows," Anyu's confident tone hopefully made a good impression, but her desprerateness was revealed by her pleading eyes as she waited for the alphess's reaction.

He paused listening to a few others before he reclined upon his fuzzy buttocks. The male’s tall ears swiveled to and fro, whilst his eyes steadily scanned through the herd that had formed around him, picking out traits and analyzing. Then, with a charming raise of his brow Cynide’s smooth lusty voice broke through. His steel-tinged eyes focused directly at the alpha’s in a placid but poised manner, one that he was sure would not be mistaken for a challenge.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Cynide. I am a fighter."
An understatement to a degree, but the male was modest. He finished with a curt nod, his long talons clipping away habitually at the ground. Tension had been building, a need to tear away at flesh. He would hunt soon, as he did before when he was alone. Things would be easier after this; things would be much easier with support.
A sudden draft caught Cynide’s lustrous coat sending silvery strands a flutter and creating a rather surreal beast-like image for a moment. He gave his toned bodice a shake, and each hair returned to its proper place.

The silvery fae just seemed to appear. Not gradually, but just was there all of a sudden. She stayed behind the crowd, just a bit, as she wasn't thinking of joining. She was thinking of thinking of joining. The last time she had tried a... pack, things had ended horribly. And all because she had been a coward.
Amber optics looked towards all the wolves here.First, she noticed that there were many of them. Then she noted that a good part of them were male. They were all gathered around a female, the one she decided was probably the alphess.

Kar looked at the alphess and, with complete honesty said," I honestly have no specialties, but I'll do whatever I can." His voice actually sounded like you might think a dog's voice would sound like. Completely loyal.
Eyes wandered over to the crowd now, and he felt stupid all of a sudden. With all these wolves here, who would want a wolf dog in their pack?
